Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Emergency Department

RWJBH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse in our Emergency Department on our New Brunswick Campus. This is a part-time, night position (36 hours/week).

Requirements/Qualifications

• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the supervision of a professional nurse and the nurse manager in providing patient care utilizing the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Perform specific duties and are considered an integral part of the nursing team.
• Assist in the gathering information and making observations regarding the patient s condition.
• Responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement; utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient s needs with the support of a professional nurse and/or the nurse manager.

Additional Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
• Valid New Jersey LPN License
• BLS Healthcare License Current
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must have minimum of two years clinical experience
