Summary of Job Function:

Job Overview:

Processes all new consults, securing all needed patient information prior to treatment. Secures pre-authorizations and works with insurance companies. Maintains on call schedule and physician schedules. Acts as receptionist to patients and significant others and all internal and external customers. Receives and appropriately directs all phone calls. Organizes and maintains all client files including patient film and slide log. Schedules patient appointments as per department guidelines. Corrects and distributes all department transcription.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma

Preferred:

  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Previous experience with medical terminology preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift -Per Diem Hours vary
