Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Director provides leadership and strategic direction for all hospital supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, distribution, inventory management, and vendor relations. This role ensures cost-effective and efficient operations that support clinical quality, patient safety, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experiences: 3 - 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare supply chain, procurement, or logics.
- Certifications: Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent. (Desirable)

Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives aligned with hospital goals
- Oversee purchasing, contracting, receiving, distribution, and inventory control activities
- Ensure availability of critical medical supplies and equipment to meet patient needs
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Optimize supply chain process through lean principles, technology, and analytics
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to forecast supply needs and mitigate risks of shortages
- Manage group purchasing organization (GPO) relationships to maximize value
- Develop, monitor, and report supply chain performance metrics and KPIs
- Prepare and oversee departmental budgets and financial performance targets
- Recruit, train, and develop supply chain staff while fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence
- Lead initiatives for cost reduction, sustainability, and waste management in supply chain operations

Working Conditions
- Standard hospital and office environment with frequent interaction with clinical and administrative staff.
- May require occasion travel to other affiliates, conferences, and training sessions.
