Job Overview:
Responsible for total operation of the hotline and shelter on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma 2 years’ experience working in the field preferred
- Must have knowledge of the dynamics of Domestic Violence. A 40-hour Domestic Violence training certificate is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively and independently.
Preferred:
Must have knowledge of the dynamics of Domestic Violence. A 40-hour Domestic Violence training certificate is Preffered , must be completed with in the first month of hire.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
- Full-Time
- Evening
- 3PM-11PM or 4PM-12AM
Essential Functions:
- Answer the hotline and provide an appropriate service or referral
- Admit clients to shelter, assign rooms, and provide personal items
- Complete all the admission paperwork
- Assure the security of a facility at all times
- Complete a shift checklist before the end of the shift.
- Record all occurrences, admissions, and hotline calls for next-shift personnel
- Enforce all shelter guidelines and regulations
- Mediate client disputes in a non-threatening manner
- Respond to clients' needs inappropriately
- Provide support counseling as needed
- Accept donations delivered to the facility during off-hours
- Order meals on the appropriate shift
