A registered professional nurse who has expertise in a specific area of Nursing practice within the oversight of Director of Education. A nurse leader who facilitates, coordinates learning opportunities for Nursing staff and ensures a coaching approach model to achieve positive patient care and quality outcomes.
Primary function is that of expert practitioner with essential educator, consultant, researcher and clinical role components. Develop an educational plan for nursing staff, patients, and families regarding care management for the in-patient with wound/skin/ostomy care needs. Is responsible and accountable for the development of performance improvement initiatives and educational programs in collaboration with the Directors of different services as an expert practitioner.
Provide recommendations for care for MMCSC in-patients through assessments and evaluation of ostomies, acute and chronic wounds, and skin ulcers. care needs.
Current New Jersey Nursing License; Wound Care and Ostomy Certified or currently enrolled in an approved program and sit for certification
exam; maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider and ACLS course completion status; successful completion of site
personnel general orientation; and successful completion of department specific orientation.
