The Financial Coordinator is primarily responsible overall Revenue Cycle of the department. The coordinator s responsibilities may include processing both hospital and physician charges for inpatient and outpatient, The coordinator confirms and obtains authorizations as necessary for the department. The position is also responsible for evaluating process related issues which impact the timely charging of services within the departments they support, working with department staff, IT, Revenue Integrity and Physician Practice Services. The position is responsible for ongoing review and analysis of reports such as the DNFB, Xactimed, SWIMS, Charge Capture, Physician Online Reports, TES report and resolution of accounts for timely billing. The coordinator is responsible for the financially securing accounts for services rendered including discussion of Patient Financial responsibility for services and payment arrangements. Coordinator handles all other projects as needed based on department needs.
5 years of Patient Financial Services or Financial Counseling experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of all State and Federal Assistance programs, including NJ Family Care, Medicaid, ACA coverage and presumptive eligible program. Ability to communicate effectively and com passionately with Patients and Families.
