Assistant Director of Patient Care (RN) Opportunities Now Hiring for Various Locations & Specialties
The Assistant Director of Patient Care operates as a nurse leader for an assigned unit in the acute care setting, providing leadership and direction to support the daily clinical operations of the unit and delivery of high quality, patient centered care.
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- An active RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- At least 3 years of clinical practice experience in the unit or specialty of interest
- A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree and prior nursing management experience is strongly preferred
- Additional certifications may be required depending on the nursing specialty
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing staffing levels and ongoing coverage
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of clinical staff
- Collaborating with others to optimize patient outcomes
- Planning and executing programs to improve efficiency and delivery
- Ensuring compliance with patient care quality and regulatory standards
- Supporting hospital and system education initiatives and quality improvement
