Job Summary:

The primary role of the Applications Analyst II will be to provide consulting support for individual Barnabas Health hospital projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in development and support of automation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with third party vendors to enhance new installs and support current systems.
  • Support Revenue Cycle Applications. Limited but not exclusive to the following applications: 3M HDM, 3M SoftMed, Affinity, STAR, SMS, Optimum Cerner, Epic
  • Provide on-call support for RWJBarnabas Health Affiliates.
  • Develop and provide reports.
  • Responsible for the testing and documentation of system components for multiple financial/clinical applications.
  • Implement federal and state regulatory changes.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance to all policies and procedures defined by the System and local facility/affiliate.
  • May be required to lift pc's or printers or other small office equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. A certification or equivalent may be substituted for a BA degree.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in health care or technology related field is required.
  • Knowledge of clinical or financial computer systems is required.
