Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC) is staffed by 700 physicians and 2,200 employees and serves residents of Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Bergen Counties. In 2015, CMMC provided care for 16,529 inpatients, delivered 1,295 babies, performed 11,519 surgeries, had 83,707 emergency department visits, and 55,364 outpatient visits.

In 2015, Clara Maass Medical Center received its eighth consecutive Grade "A" score in Hospital Safety by the Leapfrog Group.
For 2014-15 the Medical Center is ranked among the 50 Best Regional Hospitals in the New York Metro Area by U.S. News & World Report.

The Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at CMMC achieved an overall five‐star rating in 2016 and has earned this rating since it was established in 2009
In 2014, CMMC earned the Lifeline® Bronze Receiving Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks.
