Trinitas has distinguished itself through 12 Centers of Excellence: Cardiology, Cancer Care, Behavioral Health, Maternal/Child Care, Renal Care, Nursing Education, Wound Healing/Diabetes Management, Sleep Medicine, the Connie Dwyer Breast Center at Trinitas, the Trinitas Institute for Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and care for women and seniors.

Our Elizabeth, NJ hospital operates on two major campuses. Trinitas Regional Medical Center has 554 beds, including a 120-bed long-term care center, and is proud to offer state-of-the-art medicine backed by compassion and competence.

Our team is proud to have forged a lifelong partnership with families, physicians, and communities to provide the best care in a supportive, caring environment. We treat 17,000+ inpatients every year, as well as 70,000 emergency patients and several hundred thousand outpatients.

Trinitas is a Catholic teaching medical center with Catholic oversight by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth.
In 2022, Trinitas joined RWJBarnabas Health to allow significant investment in facilities, technology and innovation to enhance clinical services provided at Trinitas.

Accolades for Trinitas Regional Medical Center

Healthgrades’ 2022 Leaders in Obstetrics & Gynecology Awards recognize the top hospitals nationwide when it comes to labor and delivery and gynecologic procedures.

Only 10 hospitals in the state of NJ achieved the 2022 Labor and Delivery Excellence Award plus the Vaginal and C-Section Delivery 5-stars, Trinitas Regional Medical Center is one of the 5 hospitals in NJ to achieve the Labor and Delivery Excellence Award for 7 consecutive years (2016-2022).

Pacemaker and Diabetic Emergencies Awards

Healthgrades’ 2023 Five Star recipient for Pacemaker Procedures for 6 consecutive years (2018-2023) and Five Star recipient for Treatment of Diabetic Emergencies.

The Trinitas Palliative Care Program successfully attained Joint Commission advanced certification, and was further honored with a certificate of distinction. One of only 10 programs in the state certified by the Joint Commission, Trinitas was applauded for its highly coordinated, multidisciplinary team approach to palliative care.

Trinitas achieved Disease Specific Joint Commission certification for the Advanced Primary Stroke Program and the Hip and Knee Total Joint Replacement Program.

The Brother Bonaventure Extended Care Center has been nationally recognized as one of the best nursing homes/short stay rehabs and received a 4-Star CMS rating.
