Clinical Endoscopy Technician
Our Clinical Endoscopy Technicians work collaboratively to promote optimal diagnostic clarity and prevent delays in gastrointestinal care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Functioning as a vital member of the healthcare team, you will perform selected patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. By providing comprehensive procedural assistance and high-quality equipment management, our technicians proactively engage with patients to provide connection and clinical clarity. A Typical Day:
- Assisting physicians and nursing staff directly during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Reviewing planned cases in advance, anticipating equipment and instrumentation needs, and ensuring rooms are fully prepared for efficient workflows.
- Overseeing the specialized care, precise handling, and proper maintenance of complex endoscopy equipment and high-tech scopes.
- Verifying physician orders, confirming correct patient identification using two distinct identifiers, and safely instructing patients on the upcoming procedure.
- Proactively identifying and reporting safety issues, including hazardous environments, equipment errors, or technical defects.
- Complying strictly with healthcare infection control protocols, departmental safety initiatives, and medical terminology documentation standards.

To be considered:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Previous Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) experience required.
- SGNA GI Technical Specialist Certification preferred.
- Broad knowledge of medical terminology and general anatomy.
- Weekday night and weekend on-call coverage rotations required.
