The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Birth Certification Representative assists in the daily operation of the department by performing clerical functions including but not limited to receptionist, financial, ordering and general clerical duties.

As Birth Certification Representative, a typical day might include the following:

  • Demonstrating excellent customer service in communication with patients, visitors, physicians and staff
  • Maintaining departmental filing system
  • Assisting department in all clerical functions as needed
  • Maintaining clerical operations within all modalities of the department
  • Performing clerical duties in support of a hospital department including, but not limited to word processing, filing, receptionist responsibilities, photocopying and mail sorting and distribution
  • Supporting the daily operations of the department by maintaining supplies and ensuring an organized work environment

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience. Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. With 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records, physician order entry, and healthcare documentation is also preferred. Per Diem from 7:00am-3:00pm every other weekend.
