The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The Application Analyst II supports the design, build, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of clinical applications across RWJBarnabas Health, with a focus on Cardiology, Neurology, and Sleep applications and technologies.

This position works with clinical applications and medical device technologies, including medical device integrations, system migrations, storage solutions, and vendor coordination. Working with moderate supervision, the Application Analyst II independently manages assigned application work, troubleshoots technical and workflow issues, and serves as a resource for Level I analysts.

As an Application Analyst II, a typical day may include:

• Supporting clinical applications and technologies across Cardiology, Neurology, and Sleep

• Supporting medical device integrations and connectivity with clinical applications and systems

• Assisting with application and device migrations, upgrades, enhancements, and storage-related initiatives

• Designing, building, configuring, testing, and optimizing assigned applications and workflows

• Partnering with Operations, Informatics, training teams, vendors, and application peers to support clinical and technical requirements

• Researching application, build, integration, device, and workflow issues and recommending appropriate solutions

• Coordinating with vendors to troubleshoot issues, support implementations, and resolve technical dependencies

• Providing go-live, post-go-live, and on-call application support

• Developing and executing test scripts for upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and system changes

• Managing application tickets and maintaining clear communication throughout the issue lifecycle

• Documenting system modifications, build decisions, workflow changes, issues, risks, and enhancement requirements

• Serving as a resource for Level I analysts and validating newly certified or new build work as needed

This Role Might Be For You If

• You have experience supporting Cardiology, Neurology, Sleep, or other clinical applications

• You understand how medical devices integrate with clinical applications and healthcare technology

• You have experience with medical device integrations, migrations, storage, or vendor-supported clinical systems

• You enjoy troubleshooting issues that cross applications, devices, workflows, and technical infrastructure

• You can independently manage moderately complex application support with moderate supervision

• You are comfortable working directly with clinical users, Operations, Informatics, technical teams, and vendors

• You enjoy application build, testing, upgrades, implementations, and workflow optimization

To Be Considered for the Application Analyst II position, you must have:

• Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience

• Experience supporting clinical applications, healthcare technology, system build, or related application environments

• Experience supporting medical device integrations, migrations, storage, or vendor-supported clinical technologies

• Ability to independently support assigned application work with moderate supervision

• Experience with application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, or enhancements

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications, workflows, and technical dependencies

• Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, technical teams, and external vendors

• Strong documentation, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

• Applicable application certification, or ability to obtain certification as required for the assigned application

• Ability to maintain required certification through New Version Training (NVT), as applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

• 3+ years of application, system build, application support, healthcare IT, or related experience

• Experience supporting Cardiology, Neurology, and/or Sleep applications

• Experience with healthcare clinical systems and workflows

• Experience with medical device integration and connectivity

• Experience supporting application or medical device migrations and storage solutions

• Experience coordinating with clinical technology vendors

• Experience supporting implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing, and go-lives

• Experience with application governance, change control, and issue management

• Clinical licensure when applicable
