Essential Functions:

• Develops, implements and evaluates programs for orientation, competency assessment, training and continuing education for all levels of staff on the Oncology units
• The Nursing Prof Dev Practitioner provides nursing care in the acute care setting within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Performs duties in any nursing capacity as needed
• Assures safety in practice by maintaining a realization of your own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available
• Utilizes the nursing process in all aspects of the provision of care, individualizing the plan of care to address specific patient needs

To be considered for this Nursing Prof Dev Practitioner opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification. A BSN is required. 2 years of Oncology/med-surg experience is required. Chemo certification required and National Nursing Certification required. If not certified at the time of hire, they are expected to receive certification within one year of hire.

This position offers a consistent 40 hours per week on the day shift.
