Job Overview:
The Quality Coordinator/RN is responsible for supporting hospital-wide quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
This role collaborates with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to monitor clinical outcomes, analyze quality data, ensure adherence to evidence-based standards, and promote continuous improvement in patient care delivery,
The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, who is experienced in healthcare quality metrics, accreditation standards, and performance improvement methodologies.
To be considered for this Quality Coordinator/RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing; a Master's degree preferred. Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is required or obtained within one (1) year from date of hire. Certification as Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Certification as Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred. A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience is required. Prior experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, accreditation, or performance improvement preferred. Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and New Jersey healthcare regulations preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications is required. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are required. Vizient database experience is required. This position offers a full-time 37.5-hour work-week.
