Summary of Job Function:
Processes all new consults, securing all needed patient information prior to treatment. Secures pre-authorizations and works with insurance companies. Maintains on call schedule and physician schedules. Acts as receptionist to patients and significant others and all internal and external customers. Receives and appropriately directs all phone calls. Organizes and maintains all client files including patient film and slide log. Schedules patient appointments as per department guidelines. Corrects and distributes all department transcription. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. |
