Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Minimum of 3-5 year s acute nursing experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational ability, management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards
  • Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in NJ
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • NRP certification

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time
  • Night shift
  • 37.5 hours weekly
  • 11pm - 7am
  • Mon - Fri
  • Weekends as needed
  • On call as needed
  • Holidays as needed

Essential Functions:
Ensures that quality age appropriate nursing care is delivered to all patients on his/her nursing unit in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education. Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies. Maintains unit budget. Participates in nursing quality assurance. Maintains unit administration including scheduling and maintains of supplies and equipment. Uses and understand of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
