Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Chief Stationary Engineer position for Trinitas Regional Medical Center. This is a Full-Time position.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with courses in chemistry, physics and mathematics or vocational school training with stationary engineering courses
  • 5 years experience as a Stationary Engineer with demonstrated ability to lead and direct the daily operation of the plant and assigned staffNJ red seal Boiler operator license to be obtained within 24 months of employment,
  • A State of New Jersey Stationary Engineer s Blue Seal License is mandatory.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid NJ driver's license,

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid NJ driver's license
  • Active refrigeration and Boiler operator NJ blue seal licenses required,

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  • Creating the monthly schedule.
  • Ensure Boiler and Chiller Uptime.
  • Ensure all daily and shift rounds are completed and logs are filled out properly.
  • Ensure that daily Temp and humidity logs are sent out.
  • Ensure that correct boiler chemical testing is completed once a day.
  • Ensure the Boiler Log is filled out correctly.
  • Ensure that all Vendors sign in and are managed.
  • Maintain testing Logs for review.
  • Schedule routine inspections.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the Central Utilities Plant.
  • Create a PM program on various pieces of equipment.
  • Ensure functionality of Central Utilities plant.
  • Updates senior Facilities leadership daily on any issues.
  • Ensure that all work given by senior Facilities leadership is completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicating the goals of the company to all engineers and professionals in the team.
  • Supervising every phase of the project from start to completion.
  • Calculating costs, material, labor, and time required for each project.
  • Approving designs and budgets.
  • Delegating tasks to engineering teams.
  • Supervising staff training as well as equipment installation.
  • Performing quality control checks on all systems and products.
  • Quickly resolving disputes between staff.
  • Acknowledging or rewarding good work.
  • Analyzing data and drafting reports for review.
