Job Overview:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient computer skills to support requirements of the department

Preferred:

  • At least one (1) year clerical experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift working- 7:00am 3:00pm
  • Every other weekends/Holidays
  • Part Time- No Benefits

Essential Functions:

  • Notifies the appropriate nursing unit of personnel absences.
  • Apprises the administrative supervisor of staffing situations which arise as a result of a sick call.
  • Contacts staff to replace absent personnel as requested.
  • Completes the sick log master and scheduling system with all information required.
  • Accurately enters time schedules in a timely fashion.
  • Manages the clerical activities of the time and attendance payroll system by:
    1. Entering benefit time, floating of employees, and changes from daily staffing.
    2. Validating special rate by entering swipes for exempt registered nurses.
    3. Reviewing employee log reports to ensure accuracy.
    4. Correcting payroll problems relating to the time and attendance system.
    5. Entering all scheduled benefits time for the previous week.
    6. Entering all charge and on-call hours scheduled from the staffing sheets for the previous week.
  • Performs clerical assignments to include filing and photocopying as requested.
  • Answers the telephone and accurately takes and relays messages.
  • Performs errands for the administrative supervisors as requested.
  • Participates in relief and holiday office coverage.
  • Refers call from physicians outside agencies, families, and patients to an administrative supervisor.
  • Utilizes equipment and supplies in a manner that achieves productivity, cost-effectiveness and waste reduction.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
