JOB SUMMARY:
- Works collaboratively with providers, administration, and clinical operations team to ensure the overall practice is running efficiently and meeting all patient needs.
- Act as a liaison between billing and providers and assist with completing billing edits. Responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations, daily chart flow, managing billing concerns, and reviewing all charts for completion.
- Serves as the liaison between facility, providers, and corporate office, ensuring proper communication between all necessary parties.
- Works on both front-end functions of registration and may need to also work as a certified medical assistant performing duties of a patient visit.
- Supports recruitment of other staff that support practice operations.
- Supports orientation and onboarding of support staff in the practice and gives constructive feedback to the Administrator and Medical Director consistent with areas of expertise.
- Arranges for coverage when necessary, leaving an adequate written plan for the person who will be covering.
- Provides input for policies and goal-setting for the practice and shows leadership and initiative in support of overall practice mission.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for facility issues in the practice.
- Demonstrates customer friendly behavior and promotes the university s philosophy and activities with all patients and staff.
- Supports practice s mission and provides leadership for open, direct communication and conflict resolution.
- Conducts all patient-care activities with respect for patient s privacy and right to confidentiality and autonomy.
- Uses discretion in relaying administrative concerns, decisions or discussion with other staff to include the Administrator and Medical Director.
- Effectively manages time in relationship to job duties/responsibilities.
- Demonstrates direct, open communication style.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other team members.
- Maintains effective working relationships and/or liaison with attending professional staff and community providers.

Education: Certified Medical Assistant. Equivalent to High School Diploma required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a medical office, physician practice, or hospital setting is required. Medical terminology required. Minimum one-year experience with electronic health records is preferred.
