Job Overview:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic computed tomography procedures within the scope defined by Regulatory and Departmental QC standards. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Trade/vocational training in Radiologic Technology
  • NJ State licensure
  • ARRT Certification
  • BLS through American Heart Association

Preferred:

  • 1-3 years general radiology experience

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Per Diem
  • Schedule will vary based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions:

  • Performs computed axial tomography procedures working with patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric
  • Performs venipuncture and administers IV contrast according to protocol
  • Reviews images for proper positioning, technique, identification
  • Adapts to varying work requirements dependent upon departmental needs and participates in oncall when necessary
  • Performs other duties as required by the department
