Job Overview:

The Dietetic Technician performs diversified duties in the diet office; e.g. maintains diet records, tallies food requirements and other similar tasks. The Dietetic Technician will demonstrate Barnabas Health's philosophy of Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition

Preferred:

  • Graduate of Dietetic Assistant/Technician Program
  • One (1) year food service experience

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Collects patient menus and maintains diet office computer program.
  • Follows standard practices and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures that patients are satisfied with their meals and receive the items they chose.
