Job Overview:

The EMG Technician is responsible for assisting the EMG physician with performing basic nerve conduction studies.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's degree or higher required,
  • Completion of an accredited EMG training program required,
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association AHA required,
  • Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist registration and certification required,
  • Experience: Minimum five 5 years of experience in the EMG field required, preferably within a hospital setting,

Essential Functions:

  • The EMG Technician is responsible for assisting the EMG physician with performing basic nerve conduction studies.
  • Maintains EMG equipment and test rooms
  • Assists with ordering supplies and equipment
