Job Overview:

The Decision Support Manager works closely with Service Line leaders and members of the corporate management team to design and develop dashboards and reports to measure and trend key performance metrics, supporting business planning and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science or related field required
  • 5-7 years experience in the Healthcare Industry in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the principles of financial management and decision support
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems, acting at times as an IT liaison.
  • Ability to delegate and encourage innovation and excellent performance.
  • Experience with Decision Support Performance Analytics tools, or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and strong analytical skills required.
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to analyze large amounts of data and present it in a meaningful format.
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
  • Consistently ensures the Decision Support team acts in a high level of integrity and compliance.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills are essential.

Preferred:

  • Master s degree a plus.
  • SQL, Snowflake, RStudio and Python skills a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and timely dissemination of scorecards, dashboards and reports that are used as High-level Analytical tools for members of the Executive Financial and Clinical Teams.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert in data analysis for assigned Service Line and participates as a member of a multi-discipline service line team to support the organization s strategies and goals.
  • Expert understanding of key performance indicators, including the drivers of contribution margin results, to be able to effectively present results and analysis to leadership.
  • Collaborates with other business units to identify potential opportunities to facilitate organizational improvement and success.
  • Works closely with team members to provide training, oversee projects ensuring they are completed accurately and timely, and documents processes to ensure efficiency and consistency of deliverables.
  • Lead for coordinating data requests for approved consulting engagements, specific to Corporate Initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness of data.
  • Utilizes knowledge of patient accounting systems to develop and audit the Decision Support Interface from various source systems.
  • Oversees the ongoing sourcing, assessment, defining, and maintenance of business data to ensure integrity, quality, validity, and overall applicability to the identification, analysis, and interpretation of ongoing trends or patterns in complex data sets for specified projects.
  • Educates end users on the data that is available to ensure the information being requested is presented in the best, most accurate manner to maximize the utilization of data.
