Job Overview:

Under the direction of the supervisor, accurately performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. Maintains safety regulations and cleanliness standards with the section. Follows hospital and nuclear medicine policies and guidelines of the NRC. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • NJ NMT License
  • Must be ARRT/NMTCB eligible
  • BLS Certification approved by AHA
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
  • Graduate of an AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine program
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Must hold or be eligible for a NJ state licensed in Nuclear Medicine Technology and must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists Nuclear Medicine (ARRT--N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • NJ NMT License
  • BLS Certification approved by AHA
  • Must hold or be eligible for a NJ state licensed in Nuclear Medicine Technology and must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists Nuclear Medicine (ARRT--N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift working, 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains the Department in a state of regulatory compliance at all times
  • Performs a wide spectrum of both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures that require the safe and effective utilization of radioactive materials in patients of all ages
  • Other duties as assigned
