• JOB SUMMARY

• PCA's perform a variety of routine and advanced patient care tasks under the direction of nursing staff to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients,

  They perform a variety of clerical and technical tasks as assigned,

  Participate in patient care interventions and personal care procedures for patients,

  Perform approved dressings and wound care ;participate in nutritional activities; assist with personal hygiene; assist with ambulation; assist with bowel and bladder elimination; provide such additional care as required to meet the personal needs and comfort of assigned patients

• Educational Skills Required (Degree(s), Certification(s), License, etc.)
  • Completion of related technical education course, on-the-job training or completion of Fundamentals in Nursing course. An ability to perform all competencies is required for employment in this position. Phlebotomy and CPR certified within 6 months of employment in the emergency dept.
• Work Experience RequiredOne year of nursing assistant experience is preferred
