Description:
Protects patients from self injury and provides appropriate level of supervision of a patient whose behavior is suicidal, unpredictable and/or may act out in a way that may harm or injure himself/herself.This is a semi-skilled intermediate position for assisting registered nurses in direct patient care activities.The Sitter/Patient Safety Assistant demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to adult and geriatric frail/elderly patients.
