Physical Therapist, Full Time-Day, Inpatient, Somerville, NJ

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified full-time Physical Therapist in Hillsborough, NJ. Full time therapist needed for Inpatient Acute Care at RWJUH-Somerset

Qualifications:

Required:

• Periodic weekend coverage required
• Graduate of accredited program in Physical Therapy at the baccalaureate or post baccalaureate level and licensed
• Applicant should have experience with TKR/THR in orthopedics, post CVA patients, post cardiac surgery and general med surge

Preferred:

• Active membership in a professional organization is encouraged
• New graduate with relevant clinical exposure or clinician with experience.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Registered by the State New Jersey

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 40 hours/week
• Full Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

• Provides thorough, appropriate care to all patients
• Consults with referring physicians as indicated
• Patient records are accurately and thoroughly maintained according to department policy and procedure so that
• Monitors equipment and supply needs
• Maintains a professional public image and carries out the principles of positive guest relations
• Collaborates with other personnel and rehabilitation disciplines in developing treatment plans, i.e. physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social worker, case manager, home care and others as necessary:
• Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge of physical and emotional requirements for patients of all ages.
• Communicates frequently with the Director
• Attends continuing education courses and provides in-service presentation on Physical Therapy related topics to interested groups
