Psychologist, Mental Health-Adult OP

Job Overview:

Supervision to clinical staff regarding assessments, interventions and treatment planning on each clinician's caseload

Conducts meetings with clinical staff to review cases as a team and to discuss strategies for treatment and intervention

Reviews discharges and ensure that there is justification for closing the case

Qualifications:

Required:

• Doctoral degree in Psychology

Preferred:

• One year of clinical experience

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• Develop and deliver professional continuing education seminars and workshops to the mental health community as requested
• Develop clinically relevant programs when requested and in response to patient, family and mental health community need
• Conduct psychological tests when indicated in the treatment plan
• Abide by all state regulations and professional APA ethical and code of conduct standards
• Precept new employees and students, as requested
• Make certain that their situation is stable and there is follow-up and linkage to appropriate services
• Review staff documentation in charts, including assessments, treatment plans and case recording
• Recommend revisions in the case recording for clinical appropriateness and other documentation
• Make certain that the charts are in order and the necessary forms are completed and in the chart
• Assist program director in implementing and monitoring client database and statistical information
• This includes preparing and submitting reports to the state or clinical reports for individual cases
• Maintain direct service caseload
• Assist with direct service functions as needed
• These include assessments, developing treatment plans, off site intervention, behavioral skills training, clinical case management and crisis intervention
