Job Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced radiographic and Cath Lab procedures within the scope defined by Regulatory and Department Standards. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Completion of a 2 year program with an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Special Procedures, Hemodynamics, Arrhythmia Certification
  • ARRT Certification
  • New Jersey State Licensure
  • BLS and ACLS required

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Per Diem
  • Scheduling varies based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions:

  • Assists physician with special procedures such as vascular, digital, utilizing specialized equipment
  • Performs all routine radiographic procedures and views according to the department procedure manual
  • Evaluates images for technical quality and prepares CDs as required. Maintains optical disks for storage of cases
  • Perform other duties as assigned
