JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Educator plans, develops and implements a comprehensive educational program including orientation, staff development, and continuing education activities encompassing the needs of nursing personnel. The Nurse Educator collaborates with nursing leadership and all members of the health care team to effect the quality outcomes for patient care. The Nurse Educator provides leadership for maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. He/she functions in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of the hospital, the Nurse Practice Act and the standards of external regulating and accrediting agencies. Bachelor s Degree in Nursing Science required. Master s Degree in Nursing preferred. Membership and active participation in professional organizations |
