Job Overview:

The Licensed Social Worker coordinates treatment planning and makes referrals to outside agencies, and provides direct service to referred students in individual and/or group settings,

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's Degree
  • Must comply with TRMC paid state- level criminal history record background check supported by fingerprint check prior to hire
  • Minimum of 1 year counseling with children/adolescents

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • NJ LSW or LCSW

Scheduling Requirements:

  • FT

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts classroom observations on individual students when requested and provides relevant feedback to teacher
  • Provides copy of counseling referrals to the BOE director for children's services
  • Submits timely data and reports to psychiatry administration and to the director of children's service for the BOE to include activity records, caseload and outcomes data and student progress reports according to established timeframes
  • Participates in program planning and development as it relates to school-based counseling services
  • Meets with student's family on a regular basis to assist in goal achievement, either face- to- face or by phone
  • Available to consult with teachers and other school personnel regarding program development and/or individual case reviews
  • Presents topic -specific units within classroom settings as requested
  • Works with the parent/ teacher organization leadership to develop programs to support parent awareness education and engagement
  • Develops student -specific behavior management plans and communicates to relevant school-based staff
  • Attends and participates in IRS meetings, when requested
  • Attends and participates in Individual Education Plan IEP of goals for counseling on identified students
  • Participates in crisis intervention, as needed
  • Mentor and clinically supervises LSWs and students as per license requirements and field instructions as directed
