Job Overview:

The Processing Technician is responsible for the daily activities of the Central Sterile Processing Department which includes all aspects of the decontamination and sterilization processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equiv.
• SPD Technician certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Evening Shift
• Per Diem
• Schedule may vary based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions:

• Identifies criteria for selecting method of disinfection and/or sterilization by following manufacturer s recommendations
• Uses correct and safe technique in the use of the equipment according to the specific product information and Community Medical Center policies and procedures
• Assists associates in completion of their duties and functions as a cooperative active member of the health care team
• Performs all other duties as assigned
