Job Overview:

The Clinical Support Supervisor will provide clinical support supervision to Recovery Specialists to enhance both their professional goals and services to the individuals of the Institute for Prevention and Recovery serves.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least one of the following is required: LCADC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Applicant will be required to complete the NJPN Peer Supervision Training within 6 months of hire date
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development/training, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • At least one of the following is required: LCADC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, Advanced Practice Nurse

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift working, up to 16 hours a month
  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Offer both individual and group supervision as per guidelines set forth by NAADAC and state entities, which include but not limited to:
    • The Code of Ethics NAADAC and Core Competencies SAMHSA
    • Professional goals
    • Self-care practices/compassion fatigue awareness
    • Enhancing Peer Support work and strengthening skills
    • Boundaries
    • Identifying role difference, role drift and scope of peer work
    • Teamwork skills
  • Understand and practice Peer Supervision Competencies related to:
    • Recovery-Oriented Philosophy
    • Providing Education & Training
    • Facilitating Quality Supervision
    • Performing Administrative Duties
  • Be available or name an alternate Supervisor for support
  • Complete and maintain Supervision Agreement with Peer Support Specialist to be reviewed and revised annually
  • Communicate with operational leadership regarding performance and concerns
  • Maintain and furnish up to date supervision files, including but not limited to documentation of both individual and group sessions, CSS surveys, and attendance reporting
  • Maintain an active professional license and remain in good standing with the licensing board
  • Perform other duties as assigned
