Job Overview: Performs all functions related to reference laboratory testing including test ordering, specimen preparation, and results reporting. Provides support for Central Processing area, lab office and outpatient laboratory. Reports to the Laboratory Director and Laboratory Section Supervisors. Read, be with familiar with, participate in periodic education/training regarding, and comply with applicable corporate and laboratory policies and SOPs, Code of Conduct, and other corporate compliance policies (as may be amended from time to time).

Qualifications:
Required:

• High School Degree with college classes in Biology, Chemistry, or Laboratory Sciences is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory, medical office or other position related to the medical field
• Competent: MS WORD and Excel, typing, and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to communicate effectively by speaking clearly and distinctly in English

• Part Time
• Day Shift

Essential Functions:

• Extensive use of computer keyboard.
• Frequent change from sitting to standing position.
• Contact with potentially infectious specimens and patients.
