The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview: Coordinates nursing care and practice as well as wound care activities in conjunction with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital. Evaluates the appropriateness of would care needs, consults patients, coordinates care/patient education and follow-up. Acts as a liaison with physicians and other health care team members. Participates in housewide skin/wound care programs for staff education and patient care as needed, including Prevalence and Competency Days. Develops and participates in unit PI. Assumes some varied and flexible scheduling to meet patient and staff needs. Uses understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
Schedule:
- Full-Time Day Shift; 40 Hours Per Week
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active New Jersey RN License or approved compact RN license required.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Must have demonstrated competence in Wound Care.
- A minimum of 1 year(s) of experience in the specialty is required.
- Certification in Wound Care or ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
- Active BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
