The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Data Analyst is responsible for working with all clinical departments and all levels of staff to identify key quality and safety metrics within their area of responsibility, to format and set up scorecards and SPC charts for reporting and analyzing data, to assist in data mining and completion of all data dictionaries and the maintenance of current data for the purposes of data analysis either within the QRS department or in support of external department within the facility for the purposes of Quality, Patient Safety and Performance Improvement projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of experience (Healthcare experience preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office inclusive of Access and Visio
  • Strong working knowledge of date analysis and presentation (including pivot tables and graphs)
  • Strong working knowledge of data mining from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with data requirements for one or more of the following quality healthcare programs including CMS eCQM, Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting System, Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting System, Hospital Psychiatric Reporting measures, CMS Stars, US News and World Report Health Data Insights and Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades
  • Excellent problem solving, planning and organizational abilities Detail oriented with attention to follow-up
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years direct experience with hospital, physician practice or medical quality office preferred
  • Prior experience with Tableau, Vizients Clinical Database, Nuance, Epic and Access report writing preferred

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week on-site
  • Monday - Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM (flexible with shifts)

Essential Functions:

• Data Collection and Data Entry: Demonstrates ability to perform integration of nursing regulatory and accreditation reports via both computerized and manual formats

• Demonstrates the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, Kronos, TDS, AcuStaf and various other computer programs to record and analyze data with accuracy and in a timely manner.

• Reports Production and Distribution: Demonstrates the ability to use various computer applications to produce reports as necessary.

• Demonstrates the ability to perform transition procedures between manual and computerized reports methods during downtime and recovery periods.

• Demonstrates the ability to distribute and display reports on nursing units as directed

• Flexes hours to meet the requirements of assigned projects.

• Utilizes lulls in workload to assist others where feasible.
