Job Overview:
This position is part of the RWJBarnabas Health Messaging Team, which is responsible for administering the on-premises messaging environment delivering email messaging and collaboration services to the RWJBarnabas Health community. This position is primarily focused on supporting Microsoft Exchange based applications and services, with a focus
on Microsoft Exchange. Experience with Exchange on-premises and Exchange Online in large-scale environment is
required. The incumbent will utilize scripting and automation tools to improve processes, work collaboratively with a
team of administrators on the delivery of services, and provide excellent customer service to the RWJBarnabas Health
system. The position will participate in medium to large-scale projects affecting the entire Healthcare system.
The administrator will take part in evaluating, planning, migrating, deploying, and managing Microsoft
Exchange services. The incumbent will perform Microsoft Exchange management tasks for an enterprise,
including its identities, security, compliance, and supporting technologies. They will also serve as a
subject matter expert over the entire Microsoft Exchange environment. The incumbent will provide effective and
efficient Tier 1, 2 and 3-level service desk support of all customer issues for both cloud-based, on-premises and client
application-based.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or at least 3 years work experience designing, deploying, and migrating Microsoft 365 services.
- Progressive experience in a technical help desk or a customer service environment
- Microsoft 365 Teams administration experience.
- Experience with Azure AD and Exchange Support the messaging environment in the Cloud (Microsoft 365) and on-
premises.
- Microsoft 365 SharePoint Administrator Experience
- Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 on premise administration experience
- Microsoft certifications a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Strong attention to detail while working in a diverse team environment
Essential Function:
Working knowledge of Mail flow concepts (Routing, DKIM, SPF)
Understanding of DNS Working Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory maintenance and administration General Windows Server (2012-2019) administration Office 365 SharePoint Administrator experience is a plus
Microsoft certifications a plus
Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems
Maintain team documentation and KB articles on team shares
Responsible for tracking changes in the environment and maintaining documentation.
Address customer Problem Tickets and service requests throughout the day SME for Exchange, EnterpriseVault, ENow Exchange
Monitoring Act as the lead of maintaining existing visual diagrams and documentation for the team Updates monthly reports and backups of the messaging system
Key Competencies
Exchange on-premises/online maintenance and administration.
Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365 Teams.
Testing, implementation, and deployment of Exchange Online.
Managing Microsoft 365 cloud services, e.g., (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure AD,etc.)
Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft SQL, AD Connect, Microsoft
Defender for Office 365, Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), Microsoft Licensing
Support Single Sign-On using Active Directory Federation Services with Multi Factor Authentication.
Perform scripting administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
Perform migrations and deployments related to the building, upgrade and maintenance of MS Exchange.
Troubleshoot active sync issues with mobile devices.
Help ensure team performance meets or exceeds defined Service Level Agreements.
ProofPoint Cloud Services Enterprise Vault and Discovery Accelerator
