Job Summary

The Float Pool Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in maintaining operational stability across the medical group by managing staffing resources. This position ensures efficient deployment of floating personnel to support consistent, high quality patient care across multiple sites covering staffing gaps and unplanned absences.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates in Liberal Arts, Business Management or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a coordinator preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in patient registration billing management of front-end staffing settings
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EMR Systems and software applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Software

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Working Shift: Monday–Friday
  • Day Shift: 
  • Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

  • Assists Regional Manager with Staffing & Coverage Management real-time staffing assignments for float personnel across all medical office departments
  • Collaborate with clinic managers and department leads to proactively anticipate staffing needs
  • Provide direct oversight mentorship and performance management for float employees CMAs & PSRs
  • Daily timecard keeping
  • Oversee onboarding of new float pool staff
  • Operational Coordination & Communication serves as the central point of contact for float pool deployment logistics
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance providing compliance and safety regulation updates
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and resolve any float-related service issues in collaboration with site leadership
  • Other duties as assigned
