The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Data Analyst is a strategic thinker who drives the current and future strategy of RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Center by leveraging analytics to assist in telling a story and provide a visualization by translating data into meaningful and actionable insights. In addition, retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested and have an understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst or relevant role is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and presentation (including pivot tables and graphs)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving-skills
  • Ability to interpret clinical and regulatory data and translate into actionable insights
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics and regulatory standards
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning and organizational abilities that can keep data organized on multiple excel spreadsheets
  • Detail oriented with attention to follow-up
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

 Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Math or Data Analytics
  • Experience in quality, patient safety, or regulatory/accreditation environments
  • Knowledge of behavioral health or inpatient clinical operations

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, On-Site at 1691 US Highway 9, NJ, Toms River 08755
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to identify useful information in data sets and suggest conclusions that support decision-making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in complex data sets
  • Expert with Microsoft Excel, developing spreadsheets and creating graphs
  • Experience preferred with various business intelligence and analytical tools, including Epic and Tableau
  • Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences, as well as to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
