The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Diagnostic Cardiology department secretary and front desk receptionist. Registers patients for tests, sends out patient test results in a timely manner, communicates with physicians and physician offices. Helps facilitate patient appointments along with patient access, assists with insurance authorization, acts as liaison between patients and technical staff and attends staff and department meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to run scheduled programs with minimal supervision of Director and in the Director’s absence.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift — 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Monday–Friday
- Full-Time/Day
Essential Functions:
- Assists with the planning of monthly calendars and newsletters to communicate to residents, staff, and family members the time and location for all activities on assigned floor / units.
- Makes daily rounds introducing self to all new residents on assigned floor, assessing residents' needs, psychological, emotional, spiritual and cognitive.
- Decorates facility to reflect seasons, holidays, themes, and parties
- Attends and participates in meetings relevant to resident care and facility practices
- Escorts residents to monthly Resident Council meetings, and assists the Director with meetings.
- As per schedule, develops and implements activities for each resident in accordance with individual and group needs, including activities for residents with behavioral / disruptive problems, disorientation, and / or cognitive functioning limitations; provides for the needs of “room-bound” residents.
- Implements special event programs, such as birthday parties and themed parties to enhance the festive atmosphere of seasonal celebrations.
- Cares for plants and animals on an assigned floor to create a therapeutic, comfortable environment for the residents.
- Assists residents to and from activity areas
- Informs Director of supplies and equipment needed for programs, i.e., craft supplies, bird food, etc.
- Continues with professional growth by attending seminars and all in-service programs
- Makes sure all documentation required by State, Federal, and Joint Commission standards for case load is accurate and up-to-date
- Runs all programs in the absence of Director.
