The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Establish a presence in the new Melchiorre Cancer Center coordinating all volunteer activity, including onboarding, training and daily management.
Qualifications:
Required:
- College degree, preferably in healthcare administration or human resources
- Experience working with and managing volunteers
Preferred:
- CAVS credentials (Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services)
Scheduling:
- Some availability throughout the year for evening and weekend events or projects
Essential Functions:
- Work with all departments on continuous improvement for volunteer programs and placement to optimize support for patients, families, and staff
- Ensure volunteers comply with all regulatory requirements and policies and procedures, including but not limited to signing in and out, hand hygiene, dress code, annual flu vaccine, and annual education
- Handle all incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in person for volunteer opportunities for the community
- Schedule and perform in person interviews, provide information and directions, application tracking
- Handle ordering processes for supplies, equipment, printing & duplicating, etc,for Melchiorre Cancer Center volunteer programs,
- Work with Foundation on ordering supplies for Project 360 Comfort Cart in support of the Cancer Center
- Use Volunteer Management System for volunteer scheduling, data control, and for running activity and audit reports
- Optimize placement of volunteers to ensure full facility coverage, and adequate tasks and responsibilities for volunteers
- Help with onboarding new volunteers badging, office tour, facility tour, introductions to new unit/department liaisons
- Coordinate all activities and updates with Volunteer Resources at CBMC
