Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: The Nursing Supervisor contributes to organizational strategic planning, and is responsible for today's hospital operations, implementation of standards of care, attainment of goals, and implementation of current evidenced-based practices.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. 
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required or must be enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program with completion within one (1) year of start date. A Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred. 
  • A minimum of seven (7) years direct acute care experience as a licensed RN. 
  • A New Jersey RN License or approved compact license with New Jersey endorsement is required. 
  • Previous Emergency and/or Critical Care experience is preferred. 
  • Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association is required. 
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association is required. 

Scheduled Shifts: Night shift 7PM-7:30AM with weekends and rotating holiday commitments.

Essential Functions:

  • The Nursing Supervisor's major responsibility is the implementation of the mission, vision, philosophy, core values and standards of practice for all staff on off-tours and weekends.
  • Serves as a catalyst and role model, providing administrative leadership and direction.
  • Responsible for allocating the available resources to promote autonomous, effective, safe, cost-efficient, and compassionate quality care.
  • Facilitate an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other disciplines, as well as with the healthcare community.
  • The CAC is accountable for the acute care environment and must create learning experiences that are open and respectful, at the same time promoting the sharing of expertise.
  • This ability to enhance the practice environment is critical to the recruitment and retention of all staff.
