Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated RN Clinical Coordinator for our Perioperative Services at the New Brunswick campus.
Monitors implant usage through logs and other system tools to ensure accuracy while ensures integrity of patient data & supports clinical billing functions. The Coordinator maintains UDI tracker. Ensures accurate and complete patient records are being submitted. Partners with revenue integrity and materials management to ensure appropriate documentation and charge captur occurs. Also Ad hoc assignments as necessary
Qualifications:
Required:
- A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
Preferred:
- A Master's of Science in Nursing is preferred
- OR Experience preferred
- 2-5 years clinical documentation experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
- Manage Billing Integrity for Main OR Adult, BMSCH PEDS OR, ASC, & Endoscopy, PACU and Anesthesia.
- Manage the OR Billing office: Close supervision of the billing staff including training, scheduling and ADP.
- Preference Card Management: Supports Pref. Card Coordinator-adjustments, lead Service Line Managers, Surgeons and other OR leaders in modification requirements assuring current at all times.
- Clinical Documentation Review: Maintain database of medical record corrections. Perform chart audits and follow up with appropriate staff. Collaborate with Service Line Managers to enhance nursing intra-op documentation as needed. Work with providers to make chart corrections.
- Communication/Education: In conjunction with Perioperative Nursing Education, develop and implement plans for both formal and informal documentation education for the nursing staff as needed.
- Business Operations: Managing the OR Billing Staff, including statistical reports and scheduling of the department. Coordinate file data, accuracy and modifications with OR leadership team. Collaborate with materials and Finance Revenue Cycle expert to ensure the maintenance of accurate charges.
- Daily Bill Only Validation.
- Insurance audits and RIMP report requests.
- Tissue PI quarterly reporting.
