The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders.
Job Overview:
The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of clinical and clinical/research activities that take place within the collaboration between Barnabas Behavioral Health Center and the Kleiman Lab at Rutgers. This is a grant position.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or other related Human Services field
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric unit
Preferred:
- Graduate student in the behavioral health field
- Training and/or education in an adult psychiatric treatment setting
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day shift
- Part-Time
Essential Functions:
The scope of the job includes two broad categories:
- Co-facilitating group psychotherapy for concerns such as depression, anxiety, and suicide risk in the inpatient unit at Barnabas Behavioral Health Center
- Local coordination and enrollment of any research studies that recruit patients from the inpatient psychiatry unit at Barnabas Behavioral Health Center
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: implementing and overseeing group psychotherapy, working with clinical staff members to facilitate the psychotherapy groups, recruiting patients for relevant research studies, and serving as a liaison between unit staff and the Kleiman Lab Research team.
