Job Overview:

The Neuroscience Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of clinical and operational data across the neuroscience service line. This role supports performance improvement, regulatory compliance and strategic growth initiatives including stroke program certification (Primary, Thrombectomy Capable, Comprehensive), neurointervention, EEG/EMU, and neurosurgery services.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Statistics, or related field)
  • 2–5 years in healthcare data analytics (neuroscience or stroke preferred)
  • Experience with clinical registries
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, macros preferred)
  • Experience with Epic reporting tools, Data visualization platforms (Tableua)
  • Familiarity with hospital operations and quality metrics

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Partners with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to drive data-informed decision-making and optimize patient outcomes, throughput, and program performance
  • Prepare data for surveys, audits, and site visits
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with stroke coordinators, APPs, nursing, and physicians on performance initiatives
  • Collect, validate, and manage data from EMR systems (e,g, Epic) registries, and internal databases
  • Maintain stroke registry data ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop dashboards and reports for Stroke metrics (door-to-CT, door-to-needle, door-to-groin), EEG utilization and turnaround times, Neurosurgery case volumes and outcomes, Length of stay (LOS), readmissions, and throughput
