Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Per Diem Physical Therapy Aide to the team. This is a great opportunity for those looking to pursue a future career in physical therapy!

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Scheduling Requirements

• Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• Participates with lifting and guarding of patients.
• Assists therapist as requested with patient mobility.
• Assists with transporting patients as needed, to and from the room on Inpatient.
• Assists in the gym area to ensure treatment booths, mats, wheelchairs, and assistive devices are prepared as needed or cleaned following treatment.
• Maintains logs for equipment (hydrocollator, paraffin) and performs daily and weekly checks.
• Ensures linen is available and prepared for the therapist, and that supplies are in their place in proper condition (e.g., solutions are sealed and labeled).
• Assures patients are adequately dressed for therapy.
• Ensures clear instructions and emotional/psychological support are given at all times to patients.
