Qualifications:

Required:

  • BSN
  • 2 years’ experience in leadership and healthcare
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Prior experience in ambulatory clinic management, coordination of outpatient services, participation on a multidisciplinary team and coordination of post-acute services for a chronic disease population preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift, 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation - if applicable
  • On-Call

Essential Functions:

The Service Line Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for managing assigned areas and multiple services, supervising assigned patient care personnel during clinic operations with 24-hour call. The nurse manager is responsible to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory, administrative and clinical standards, policies and procedures. The nurse manager is proficient in personnel management and directs care to meet the unit demands in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as well as assisting with clinic budget management. This position reports to the Director of Lung Transplant and Pulmonary Division.
