Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Clinical Supervisor to join their team. The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and operational support to ensure consistent, high-quality clinical care across the practice. While managing staff coordination, competency training, and clinical protocol development, this role maintains a primary focus on strengthening team performance and patient care.
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey
Clinical experience in ambulatory care, surgical specialties, or urology practice settings
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and clinical expertise
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Previous supervisory or staff education experience
Experience with Epic EMR workflows and clinical protocol development
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Actice NJ RN license
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time, Day Shift (40 hours per week)
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain standardized educational programs and training modules for medical assistants and urology support personnel.
- Mentor, onboard, and provide ongoing education, skills validations, and in-service training for new and existing clinical staff.
- Maintain and update clinical teaching materials, workflows, and Epic-integrated protocols.
- Develop, implement, and update urology clinical workflows, protocols, and patient education standards to ensure consistency across all practice locations. Monitor adherence to clinical protocols, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with providers to improve workflow efficiency.
- Monitor Epic work queues to identify and resolve operational concerns.
- Collaborate with providers and managers regarding scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization, including redistributing responsibilities during shortages or high patient volumes.
- Oversee prior authorization workflows related to medications, diagnostic imaging, procedures, and specialty testing.
- Assist staff with the coordination of clinical testing, procedures, patient follow-up, and timely documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives utilizing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles to enhance patient outcomes, satisfaction, and staff performance.
- Assist leadership with reporting, audits, and compliance goals.
