The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Occupational Therapist screens and or evaluates referred patients for Occupational Therapy services, assessing, planning and implementing specific therapeutic intervention plans where indicated to restore function and facilitate development of skills essential for adaptive and productive occupational performance.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree, Masters degree or Doctoral degree in occupational therapy from an AOTA accredited school of occupational therapy
  • New Jersey Occupational Therapy license
  • BLS Certification
  • Successful completion of all orientation Programs

Scheduling Requirements

  • Day Shift
  • FT

Essential Functions:

  • Adheres to assigned work and on call schedule and placements including but not limited to clinics, flexed hours and weekend / holiday coverage
  • Advises referring physicians regarding patient orthotic needs and as indicated, provides for those needs, fabricating and / or fitting and monitoring orthotic devices
  • As needed, maintains organization of department and satellite patient care and equipment areas communicating information and equipment / supply recommendations to OT Coordinator
  • Collaboratively formulates discharge plans, assessing the need for therapeutic equipment and environmental adaptations and recommends / provides for same to facilitate optimal functional performance
  • Documents patient care events in all applicable areas of the medical record and other designated areas according to departmental, medical center, policy and professional practice standards, including but not limited to timeliness, completeness, and accuracy
